wood. The beautifully curved shape is obtained by softening the fibers in the wood, then stretching them to bend to the contour of the mold. Wood is then secured in shape desired until dried.
Dome top lid is done on a lathe much the same as a bowl would be done.
Leather handle, lid lifts and trunk nails handsomely accent the wood exterior.
Each one is made one at a time, truly a collectors item.
